Although not normally found on a website, I feel that the least I can do is to recognize the inspiration in my life.
I want to thank you for everything! You are the inspiration in my life! We've walked many paths together and I know sometimes the paths were rough, but you've always stood by my side. You never once let go of my hand.
Thanks for all your help in my adventures, all of your understanding, and all of your love! I enjoy all the time we spend together. I love you.
With all my love,
I want to thank my son, Dylan, and good friends for their time, their craftsmanship, creativity and overall generosity for helping me with the business. They seem to know what situation awaits me around the corner and without them, there were times I would have been lost. I now know how to set up the tent, but I'm sure I will still hear, "Mom, just give it to me and let me do it!" These are the times I don't question the new generation of kids and technology!
Upon starting my business and researching everything I could online, I discovered, perhaps magically, Mr. Rich Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton is a speaker who speaks about Walt Disney's success strategies to businesses, etc. I can't quite recall the details leading up to this, but through his website and/or books of his I read, I acquired a Certificate of Commitment. As there was an error in printing the certificate, I contacted him, and that's when my "motivational relationship" with him began. Besides sending me a thank-your gift, a CD of his interview with Kendra Trahan, author of Disneyland Detective, Mr. Rich took the time out of his busy life to email me quite a few times and it wasn't until I read between the lines, did I realize he was putting me on the road to success. I knew it was up to me to walk it, knowing I was going to fall down numerous times, but I am a strong believer that success comes with setbacks and if you don't pick yourself up after falling (and of course, learning from your misfortunes), you will never learn how to become successful either in business or in your personal life.
Mr. Hamilton's book, Disney Magic, really is an inspirational book. I would recommend reading it as it not only applies to business concepts, but it can help you in your personal life as well. Take a moment to look at his website(s):
In closing, and in the minute chance that you, Mr. Hamilton, find your way to my website, I would just like to take the time to say thank you for your help and inspiration. I still reread the emails you sent, still glance through your books, still have my Certificate of Commitment hanging on the wall and still have my bulletin board up with my goals, and, yes, they still get updated.
To those of you who know me personally and/or booked a Disney vacation with me, you either know or found out I am pretty well versed regarding Disney. Becoming a travel agent was an idea that came from one of my friends, Kristin, who decided I would make a good agent after helping her with her vacation plans to Disney because she felt her travel agent was falling short of her expectations. Yes, I will always appreciate that nudge she gave me as I not only have a passion for Disney, but I really enjoy helping people make their dream vacation a possibility. Ironically, going back to college taking classes was something I never had an interest in, but I have found myself learning all I can about the different destinations through travel agent online courses, hence I have become quite interested in the Caribbean area and Mexico. Additionally, I am currently studying to become a Certified Travel Agent.
